Please read! If you are interested in me, please visit my site, www.breederadoptions.org, read the Policies and Procedures and the FAQs page, complete the application, and my rescuers will contact you promptly. Thank you. Hi! My name is Bugg and I am an 8 month old Brussel Griffin/Chi, female who weighs 7 lbs. I am a sweet puppy that loves to play fetch and chase a laser. I also love to cuddle and watch TV with my foster Dad. I am looking for a home with no small children. (They make me nervous because I'm so small) I love dogs and cats so a sibling to play with would be great. I have been bounced around a lot in my short life in my search for my forever home so I need a stay at home parent who understands a Brussels Griffen temperament and needs. If you have the perfect home for me, please ask for on your application. Love, Bugg (because I am as cute as a bug) 072316-01 (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-20-00673CUBBY (male)
Cubby is a delightful, 3 year old Belge smooth coat male Brussels Griffon. He is happily being cared for in a foster home with a whole bunch of Griffs, and fit in immediately. Cubby is playful, affectionate, confident but not aggressive. He loves sleeping in the big bed, especially on the pillow! Cubby was described as needy... he's not, he's a typical Griff. He just loves to be with people. Cubby is a very quiet dog. In the 2 weeks he's been in his foster home, he's only barked when playing with another dog. What a pleasure! Cubby is leash trained, uses pee pads in the house, and also potties outside. Cubby is crate trained, but not happy about it The first 2 years of his life were spent as a pampered pet sleeping in bed with his owner. Due to his owner's health issues, Cubby had to be re- homed in what was thought to be a great home. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Cubby spent his days alone, tethered in the yard. He also was not given enough to eat and came to NBGR quite underweight at 10.8 lbs. Cubby's foster mom is working on that. Cubby's next home only lasted about 10 days due to no fault of Cubby's. There were 2 large dogs in the home who he was afraid of and a two year old child who chased him around. That really terrified him. His new home recognized that as much as they loved him, this was not a safe situation for Cubby and contacted NBGR. Cubby is being lovingly fostered in a private home in Tucson, Arizona. He is neutered, micro chipped, up to date on vaccines and on heart worm preventive. He has grade II patella's and may need surgery at some point in his life on one or both knees. He is in absolutely no pain at this time. Other than that, he is healthy. Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger. We never place dogs in homes reliant on electric or invisible fencing to contain pets. Fencing of this type may or may not keep a dog in the yard, nor does this type of fencing protect pets from predators, free roaming dogs, or people who may enter the yard. Should there be a power outage, the fence would be rendered useless. If a pet were to panic and run through the barrier and take an electrical jolt from the fence, that pet would not be inclined to return home, and could be lost forever. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-20-00209Huey (male)
Huey was found as a stray, and the finders looked for owners for months, and nobody has stepped up for him. They were just going to keep this sweet boy, but can't because they have to take care of their elderly mom who is having medical issues. They reached out to us to help find him a new home, and when we met him, we said absolutely. Huey is about 10-12 mths old and weighs 10-12 pounds is probably full grown at this point. He is a really happy, joyful dog, wanting to meet everyone he comes into contact with. He gets along well with other dogs, but may greet them with exuberance! He is doggy door trained. He does well with kids and would be a great playmate for them. He is just a spunky little dude that will fill you with hours of joy, smiles and love! As part of your adoption package, each dog will be fully vaccinated (Da2PP, Rabies), have a microchip (with lifetime registration), and be spayed/neutered. If the dog is not spayed or neutered at time of adoption, the adopter will be responsible to transport the dog, to and from dropoff/pickup point. Each dog will receive 6 mths of heartworm preventative medication. You will receive a free bag of premium dog food, and a gift card from Choice Pet Market. Each of our dogs comes with 4 training classes that are mandatory to attend. These classes take place at Choice Pet Market in Chandler on a Tues or Wed evening from 6-7 pm, and will be scheduled after adoption. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-04-29-00251Lucy (female)
Lucy is a beautiful 3 year old Brussels Griffon - Chi mix who should have been named Love Bug as she just wants to be with you and Ricky. Lucy and Ricky (tiny Chihuahua) are a bonded pair and as such must go together. Being just little they will not take up a lot of space in your home but make room as they will expand your heart! They are house and piddle pad trained, crate trained, up to date on shots, chipped and fixed. They get along great with big dogs and little dogs with the right introduction. Lucy will dance on her back legs to be picked up and makes a great TV watching lap warmer. The adoption fee for both is just $150.00 !

Brussels Griffon Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Brussels Griffon is a pouty toy dog that resembles a miniature Boxer. The Griffon is similar in temperament to a terrier. Brussels Griffons are peppy and can be somewhat high strung but are very cheerful and companionable. Griffons are demanding, need to be the center of attention, and can be quite spoiled. Griffons do fine with older children. A Brussels Griffon can do fine living in an apartment with daily walks and exercise.
