Bo came from a family that needed to give him up due to living arrangements. He is going to be 5 yrs old July 3rd. They adopted Bo when he was a 6 wk old baby, and loved very much. However when their luck turned for the worse, they moved in with the in-laws, whom had 4 dogs...Bo was put in a crate most of the day as they didn't want 'another dog' running the house. Unfair to Bo, because he 'was' a family member ...fully housetrained, super loving and loves going hiking, car rides, and camping..they knew they needed to find Bo a home. Bo has a date to get neutered, otherwise he is ready to go into a home that can appreciate him for what he ... (Read More)is. Part Brussel Griffon and Norwich Terrier, he is sure to turn some heads with his unique look. If you get close enough to Bo, he will undoubtedly give you a kiss. He does fine with the 3 small male dogs in the fosters home, and has never seen a cat. His best friend was a little girl who was 5 years old. She was his play mate. He doesn't like having his nails clipped, other than that...he is an awesome boy that would love sleeping next to you. If you are interested in seeing Bo, please contact us! Bo's adoption fee has just been REDUCED The Cat or dog you are viewing can be seen by emailing us at: or calling 480-628-5058. The application process is the 1st step for a R.A.I.N. Rescue Pet. (Rescuing Animals in Need) We try to remove each cat, kitty, dog and puppy as soon as they are adopted. CAN YOU HELP US???? R.A.I.N. Rescue is desperately seeking foster homes for SMALL dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. We are currently needing volunteers for these Departments also: Foster Homes, Transporters, Groomer, Adoption Center, Donation Station and Fund-raisers. FOSTERING: We take in "small" dogs, puppies, cats and kittens to foster. The fosters DO NOT pay out of pocket for expenses while Fostering ANY animals in our Rescue. This is a Misconception of many folks. The Rescue pays for everything necessary. We also accommodate for time away. *Some of our best fosters have been the winter visitors, who may only be able to take in dogs for 3-4 months. TRANSPORTERS: A person designated to take the dogs and cats for their vetting. (Spay/Neuter etc), groomers and sometimes to pick up and drop off at adoption events when the fosters are unable to bring them. Picking up new strays/owner surrenders etc and taking them to their foster home. This position will pay mileage. FUND-RAISERS: Anything to help bring in funds to our non-profit Rescue. You will earn 10% of the money brought in to help the animals for each event! GROOMER: A skilled groomer with their own grooming equipment that can groom / bathe/clip nails on small dogs/puppies. We will supply the shampoo/towels etc. We would bring them to your location in the east valley. VOLUNTEERS AT ADOPTION CENTER: Cleaning cat kennels (Inside help with cats and kittens weekday days & nights), cats laundry (pick up and drop off), play time with cats, feeding cats, Walking dogs, cleaning their kennels, watering & feeding, Quiet petting time and playing with them. PHOTO POSTINGS: Cats & kittens that are adoption ready at the Petsmart Center, take photos of cats & kittens and get information on them, post on 3 of our favorite sites online. This job is currently being structured /created, and will be opening up soon! DONATION STATION: Someone to 'faithfully' be at Petsmart and set up the donation table (table provided), The table will have items on it with information about our rescue, our business cards, volunteer job listings, a donation jar, and a donation basket for anyone wanting to donate misc. items (dog food/toys etc) and small items that can be given out to those who d (Less)

Animal ID: 2889JOHNNY: Phoenix, Az. (male)

Brussels Griffon Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Johnny is a 12-pound youngster who had the misfortune to be born into a hoarder's home, a person who probably loved him, but couldn't provide for his needs. He and his sister, Bertie, were among the five dogs that were rescued from a situation that offered no socialization, guidance, toys, or bedding. This black and tan bundle of love is nearly one year old, and is only now discovering the fun of toys, the joy of playing with a human, and the comfort of a soft bed. His natural tail thumps with pleasure when he is praised, and he shows his gratitude with loving looks. He is sweet and submissive, and he enjoys being petted and being by your ... (Read More)side. Johnny has very distinctive looks with his black and tan coloring. His ears do their own thing, with one standing and one dropping, but we could say that this is what gives him his charm. Shy and sensitive, he hopes the fact that he may not be fully Griff will not be held against him. He's already overcome so much, what with a terrible flea infestation that had to be resolved, and the upset that came with losing the only home he'd ever known - even if it wasn't a very good home. We feel that Johnny would do well in a quieter home where there is not too much hubbub or noise. He doesn't like a fuss, and he probably would prefer to live with no more than one other dog. He would do best in a situation where there is usually someone home. After all, it is a Griff's job to be the center of attention, and Johnny is prepared to do just that. All he needs is some love and patience, and he is ready to be someone's main man. He has made a great transition to his foster home, and he grows more confident. He is doing well with pee pads, doing his potty outdoors, and is willing to take a higher level course in house training. He just needs to get to his forever home so that he can give all his love and devotion. Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
