[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Adorable female 4 year old Shi Tzu/ Brussels Griffon mix. Congenital defect with her back legs, walks well at times but can drags her legs. Loves people but takes a little bit to become very comfortable. Very much a companion dog. She goes pee outside and on potty pads, cannot control her poop. Rescue Me ID: 16-01-10-00171OSCAR & RUBY (male)

Brussels Griffon    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Ruby & Oscar are two pals who were turned over to NBGR by their owner who has to travel too much for her job now. They are the sweetest little dogs at just 11 lbs. each and 11 yrs. old. Their foster mom has said that they have not had one accident in the home, and get along fine with her other dogs and cats. They both prefer to sleep with their humans or at least in the same room. We would love to see them placed together. Ruby at ten is a very well-adjusted lady and is in general good health. She would be very easy to live with. She may not be in your lap but always wants to be close to you. She's a lovely little girl who loves to carry ... (Read More)around one of her stuffed toys. Oscar, unfortunately has some health issues. He has a bad knee, bad hi,p and his back was broken at some point and healed incorrectly. Nothing has been done to correct these problems and it appears that he has been living with them for quite some time. He has adjusted to his disabilities and it has been decided that surgery is not an option at this time of his life. He should not be allowed to jump up and down. Oscar is an easy dog to live with. These dogs are being fostered in Modesto, CA. Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger. Rescue Me ID: 16-01-10-00126ROXY & D.O.G. - URGENT (female)

Brussels Griffon Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA AREA - URGENT PLACEMENT NEEDED BY FEB.13, 2016! Our Foster and adoptive home applications can be found on our website at www.brusselsgriffonrescue.org Please specify Roxy and D.O.G. If you or anyone you know might be able to help Roxy and D.O.G, please contact Diane Shelby ASAP with National Brussels Griffon Rescue, Inc. at dianeshelby126@yahoo.com TRANSPORT CAN BE ARRANGED. Roxy and D.O.G are two delightful Brussels Griffon-Terrier mixes. They are 2 and 3 year old very bonded siblings born 1 year apart, weighing approx. 25 lbs. each. Through no fault of their own, they are in the unfortunate predicament of ... (Read More)finding themselves in desperate need of safe haven immediately! Their current NBGR foster mom's job status has changed very recently. Beginning 2-13-2016 her job will require her to travel out of town on a very frequent basis, so she will be unable to continue caring for these 2 very sweet little dogs until the perfect forever home can be found for them. NBGR has very few foster homes on the west coast, and none currently available to take Roxy and D.O.G. even on a temporary basis. If NBGR cannot find a new foster or adoptive home for these two homeless pups immediately, we would consider placing them with another reputable foster home based rescue group. THEIR STORY: Roxy and D.O.G. were originally owned by an elderly coupe who eventually had to be moved to a nursing home, leaving 2 very bewildered little dogs homeless, with no idea what had happened to their beloved family. Roxy and D.O.G. were obviously very well cared for, and we know the couple loved the dogs very much, and were heart broken when they had no choice but to place them with rescue, with a hope and a prayer the perfect new forever home could be found for them soon. Luckily, NBGR was able to take them into our adoption program, and place them in a foster home in November of 2015, until the latest change of events turned Roxy and D.O.G's world upside down once again. Roxy and D.O.G. are two lovely, very adoptable little dogs. They are happy, active, playful, and very bonded. It is our hope that they may live out their lives together. Despite all the turmoil in their short lives so far, being bounced from one home, then another, they still adore people, including children and other dogs. They are not territorial or aggressive in any way to other dogs or people. They seem to love everyone! All they want to do is please, and in turn be loved. Both are enormously adoring and affectionate. They have boundless energy, and are very amusing to watch at play, as they do it so well, and at the end of the day, love to cuddle. They are also very good car travelers. Their current foster mom snaps them into their car restraints in the back seat, where they are very well behaved. At bedtime, their foster mom crates them to sleep together in a large crate, and they never complain. They are also trained to sit and give a paw. Primarily, they will need some work on leash training because they get a little too excited when they see someone new. They love the outside world and find it so overwhelming they simply want to go see everything, which makes them pull while on lead. Eventually they relax and walk properly. Their current foster mom lives in a more urban area, however they seem to love the more wide open spaces. For this reason, we feel they would do best in a home with a fenced yard where they can run, and play to their heart's content, while at the same time burning off some of that youthful energy. Please, if you or anyone you know can help or offer any recommendations, it would be so very much appreciated! Time is of the essence to find a happy solution ASAP for the horrible dilemma Roxy and D.O.G. have found themselves in through absolutely no fault of their own! We know Roxy and D.O.G. would thank you from the bottom of their hearts! All these sweet siblings want is a soft place to land for the rest of their lives, someone to love and protect them, and someone who yearns for 2 cute, very bonded little dogs to shower them with boundless love and affection! Roxy and D.O.G. are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative, on heart worm preventative, and are micro chipped. Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger. Animal ID: 2832GRIFFY: Sacramento, Ca (female)

Brussels Griffon    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Griffy in Sacramento, California is one happy little lady! Her owners surrendered her to a Sacramento-area shelter because they were no longer able to care for her. We are not sure of her age, but from the vet's feedback and observing her she is somewhere around 8 to 10. We are betting 8 because her eyes are clear and her teeth are in good condition. When Griffy came to rescue she weighed over 30 pounds, but her weight is down to normal, thanks to a great diet and exercise regimen put in place by her foster mom. She is happy, housebroken, and now able to play. Griffy is a very good girl. She enjoys tummy rubs and has great inside ... (Read More)manners. Even though she is an older gal, she is very lively and energetic. She loves running around in the grass, and her tail is always wagging. When she is excited, her tail wagging makes her entire body wiggle! She is looking for a home where she can get a lot of attention and can go on walks so she can keep her girlish figure. She loves just about everyone, and is good with other dogs. She is happy in her current home, but we believe she would love to be in a home that would love and care for her for the rest of her life. Griffy deserves that home. Griffy is spayed and heartworm negative. She is up to date on her vaccinations, and will be microchipped before being placed in her new home. Go to her link on our website to see a cute video of Griffy! Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered.
